EK43 is an allround shop grinder with 98 mm cast-steel burrs. Its published grinding rate is a laboratory value tied to material and fineness. Keep the electrical-frequency options separate from the model overview when checking motor speed and installation requirements.
Is 19–21 g/s an espresso workflow guarantee?
No. Mahlkönig states that grinding capacity depends on the material and fineness and is measured under laboratory conditions. Use the figure as a scoped manufacturer claim, then assess your dose, setting and handling workflow.
Why are two motor speeds listed?
The specification gives idle speeds of 1,450 rpm at 50 Hz and 1,760 rpm at 60 Hz. These are frequency-dependent values, not an adjustable operating-speed range.
Does the standard burr suit every listed material?
The product page lists special burr and pre-breaker configurations for Turkish-fine coffee and non-coffee materials. Match the grinding application to the fitted burrs rather than treating every option as standard equipment.
